At Rootz, we strive to provide the best file hosting experience possible. This Refund Policy outlines the conditions under which refunds may be issued for Premium subscriptions.
All payments are processed securely through our payment partner, LemonSqueezy, and are subject to their terms and conditions.
Premium Subscription Refunds
14-Day Money-Back Guarantee
We offer a full refund if you cancel your Premium subscription within 14 days of your initial purchase. This applies to first-time subscribers only.
Eligibility for Refunds
You may be eligible for a refund if:
- You are a first-time Premium subscriber cancelling within 14 days of purchase
- You experienced a technical issue that prevented you from using the Service, and our support team was unable to resolve it
- You were charged in error (e.g., duplicate charges, charges after cancellation)
- The Service was unavailable for an extended period due to issues on our end
Non-Refundable Circumstances
Refunds will NOT be issued in the following cases:
- Cancellations made after the 14-day money-back guarantee period
- Partial billing periods (e.g., cancelling mid-month)
- Account suspension or termination due to Terms of Service violations
- Change of mind after the 14-day guarantee period
- Failure to use the Service or its features
- Renewals of existing subscriptions (only applies to initial purchase)
Subscription Cancellation Process
You can cancel your Premium subscription at any time from your account settings. Upon cancellation:
- Future payments will be stopped immediately
- You will retain Premium access until the end of your current billing period
- Your account will automatically revert to the free tier after the billing period ends
- No prorated refunds are provided for unused time in the current billing period (unless within the 14-day guarantee period)

How to Request a Refund
If you believe you are eligible for a refund based on the conditions outlined above, please contact our support team with the following information:
- Your account email address
- Transaction ID or receipt from LemonSqueezy
- Detailed explanation of why you are requesting a refund
- Any relevant screenshots or documentation
Our support team will review your request within 3-5 business days and respond via email.
Refund Processing
If your refund request is approved, the refund will be processed within 5-10 business days. The refund will be issued to the original payment method used for the purchase.
Please note that your bank or payment provider may take additional time to process the refund and credit your account.
Chargebacks and Disputes
If you file a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or credit card company without first contacting our support team, we reserve the right to:
- Immediately suspend or terminate your account
- Ban your payment method from future purchases
- Pursue legal action if fraud is suspected
We strongly encourage you to reach out to our support team first to resolve any billing issues before initiating a chargeback.
Changes to This Policy
We reserve the right to modify this Refund Policy at any time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
